Cabbage Half (Savoy) is a winter vegetable and one of several cabbage varieties. They are milder-flavoured than regular green cabbage. They’re shaped into a tight, round head. The leaves have the distinctively wrinkled appearance.
Slice and eat raw, or cook by boiling or stir-fry. Only cook for a short time in a covered saucepan then drain.
Savoy cabbage is free of fats, cholesterol and rich in vitamin A, K, C and B6. It also possess protein, fiber, iron, manganese, folate, thiamin, potassium, calcium and magnesium. It provides low amount of calories.
